Fun facts about Jessica:
Favorite artist(s):
This is a tough one. I love all art, from the mesmerizing brushstrokes of Impressionists to the electrifying guitar riffs of rock legends. But if I had to pick… Favorite Painting: Édouard Manet’s Olympia. Her unapologetic gaze and defiant expression resonate deeply with me, reminding me of the power of owning one’s identity and space.

Summer Playlist: Shakira and Karol G are always on my playlist (my 5-year-old daughter wouldn’t have it any other way). I’m currently having a Red Hot Chili Peppers moment. And let’s just say “El Ritmo Que Nos Une” was the Copa América anthem in my house this summer. Sure, Colombia didn’t clinch the final, but this song? Total MVP.
Favorite restaurant(s) in Miami: Ogawa, LPM, and Pastis
Favorite thing about practicing international arbitration in Miami:
It’s a unique privilege to build a career in the city I’ve always called home. Even though Miami has changed so much over the last 20 years, every corner still holds a memory. Whether I’m driving past the campus that witnessed my dreams take shape, revisiting the places that fueled my ambitions, or bumping into old friends who were part of the journey, Miami keeps reminding me why I love what I do and what it took to get here. Plus, the energy is incredible—so much growth, cultural diversity, and sunny weather.

Favorite book(s):
I love memoirs. My favorites include Angela’s Ashes by Frank McCourt, The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls, and Night by Elie Wiesel. A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini isn’t a memoir, but it’s also one of my favorites.
